"Oh, they’re all so vacant, aren’t they?" Sherlock was nearly gleeful as he shut the door to 221B, his friends having left only a minute before.
"Don’t be mean!" Molly admonished him. "You’re tricking them! Again!"
"I’m not tricking them,” Sherlock replied. “They saw your ring and Tom and they came to the wrong conclusion.”
Molly threw her arms around his neck, lifting herself up on her tiptoes to kiss him. They smiled as their lips met.
"You didn’t correct them," Molly murmured against his mouth.
"Mm-hm," Sherlock hummed, tugging her closer still. "We’ll wait until after John and Mary’s wedding. Don’t want to steal their thunder."
Molly crinkled her nose. “So instead I’m going to steal their thunder.”
Sherlock shook his head. “You becoming engaged would not shock anyone. Myself, on the other hand…”
Tom walked out of the bathroom, drying his hands. He paused at the sight of Molly and Sherlock wrapped up in each other. “I’m intruding.”
Sherlock pulled back slightly. “Well yes, but I did hire you for twenty-four hour protection. You may take a few hours off. Go to a movie.” He grinned at Molly. “I think I can guard Molly’s body all by myself.”
