There were a lot of adjectives that John Watson thought he would have to use when describing Sherlock and Molly's new relationship. 'Overdue' was the one he most often used, 'perfect' to his wife Mary, and 'romantic' when he wanted to irritate Sherlock.
Lately, however, Sherlock and Molly had become that couple: always sharing private jokes in front of everyone, smiling goofily when at each other when they thought no one was looking, finding nearly ridiculous excuses to be around each, to touch each other, to be affectionate. Which is why he had to agree with Mary's newest adjective: nauseating.
John had argued in the defense of his friends' behavior, especially in light of how much better off everyone was because of it, but standing beside them at St Bart's lab, watching them play a game of keep away with lab results as a poor excuse for flirting, he had to agree with his wife.
