West!lock: Sherlock as a western

Really, the first thing that I thought of when my friends were talking about Sherlock as a western was, of course, Back to the Future Part III (which I have somewhat quoted here) since it’s set in 1885 (which is about Sherlock Holmes time anyway).

Which of course immediately led me to put it all together sans the time travel bit:

- Sherlock: the blacksmith/scientist

- John: the town Doctor

- Lestrade: the Sheriff

- Mrs. Hudson: runs the saloon but “isn’t the bartender”

- Molly: the newly arrived school teacher with a love of science

- Mycroft: the mayor

- Moriarty: the outlaw

It’s a LOT of fun.

....I ship this. I ship Sherlolly. ...I think I'm the worst Sherlockian ever though. I haven't seen any of the episodes at all. Only spoilers on the internet. I am ashamed...

I am waiting for my mother's permission because I love my mother. It's not that I'm this innocent little girl on the internet who can't watch anything without her mom's permission, I just respect my mother and as such I'm not going to do something that she says to hold out on until she decides I can watch it or not. I'm perfectly okay with it. Not to mention, even if she says no now, I can watch it later when I'm an adult and can make my own choices. Until then, I respect my mom enough to know that she only does what's best for me and if she thinks I shouldn't watch it until later...that's fine. That's what spoilers are for.

Dude, no worries, I totally get that.
I have a young niece who wants to watch the show and I think she's old enough to enjoy it (Sherlock isn't graphic at all as a show and the only sexually questionable thing I would hesitate about would be parts of the episode with Irene), but until her mom gives the ok, I won't let her watch it at my house.
It's so nice to hear that there's still people who respect their parents opinions and actually strive to follow them.
I'm almost thirty and I still will listen to my parents opinions (because I still live in their home, it's still their rules).

cheers.

Yeah, sorry about the second reply! Most of the time the replies to comments I leave on their deviations disappear directly after I reply to them, and your reply did but a few days later it had popped up again, so it looked like you were questioning why I was listening to my mother. Stupid me forgot to look up and realize: "OH, that's just her original reply, that or she sent the same thing twice..." Sorry. But I'm glad you understand. I believe it's the bits with Irene that make it so she doesn't know if she wants me to watch it or not.

Well I am an obedient child and my mother isn't sure if she wants me to watch it or not. Even though she and my sister, as well as my best friend, have seen it, I am waiting patiently for her permission. Until then...spoilers.
